MEET MICHELLE

Michelle was born and raised just outside of Chicago in Oak Park, Illinois. Upon returning home from a vacation in Colorado, she knew she was destined to live in the mountains. In 2006 Michelle made that dream a reality, relocating to Denver where she spent the next 10 years working as a Revenue Accountant as well as the National Events Manager for clients such as the MS Society, Association for Suicide Prevention, Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, and Cycle for Survival. Fast forward to 2016 where the opportunity to relocate to Steamboat Springs presented itself. Michelle didn't hesitate before the words blurted out of her mouth, "of course I will move to Steamboat", and the rest is history. She has loved setting down roots in Steamboat over the past 5 years, and looks forward to many more years in this great community.

WHAT DO I LOVE MOST ABOUT REAL ESTATE?

While there is a lot to love about real estate, Michelle's attraction to become a Real Estate Agent stemmed from her desire to help people. Being a transplant to Steamboat, Michelle understands why those who were born here stay here as well as the allure for those who want to relocate. Creating relationships, which is the backbone of Michelle's real estate practice, has helped her stand apart and create a lane for herself in the Real Estate market of Steamboat in which her goal is to always exceed her Clients' expectations.

IN HER FREE TIME

You will most often find Michelle in town floating down the Yampa River, hiking up Emerald Mountain, or strolling around downtown, always with her big black lab Duke. Michelle, while not a chef herself, loves to go out for a great meal. You will most likely run into her at Yampa Valley Kitchen, Mahogany Ridge, The Laundry, or Tahk Omakase.

MEET LEE

Lee is a Broker Associate with The Group Real Estate and new teammate of 2020's Best of the Boat agent, Michelle Parilla. As a current member of the Steamboat Springs Planning Commission, Lee is part of the planning process for building, zoning & remodeling projects throughout the Steamboat Area. Lee specializes in homes sales to full or part time residents in Steamboat Springs, Oak Creek, Hayden or Clark, with a specialty of working with first-time home buyers, introducing them to the quirks of the Steamboat Market.

 

Prior to real estate, Lee was the Vice President of a luxury catering and event company in Chicago & specialized in matching clients with the right venue and vendors for the special events. Lee parlayed her networking, marketing skills & love of finding the right fit for her clients seamlessly to her real estate career.

Leveraging her experience as a successful business owner, Lee is known for outstanding customer service, 24/7 availability, high tech marketing techniques & personal touches. She is a skilled negotiator with the client’s best interests at heart. She believes that it is not only her job but her duty to represent her client’s to the best of her ability as well as to educate them throughout the process, so that they have the top notch information & market insight, to ensure that they make the best decisions possible – even when it means telling people things they might not want to hear!

 

IN HER FREE TIME

Lee is probably hanging out with her adorable nephew Boone, volunteering her time on the Routt County Humane Society as a board member, cross country skiing, hiking or maybe even fly-fishing, or more accurately throwing flies into trees. She is also probably taking an online class, learning about the newest & best marketing techniques & real estate trends and tips.

 

 

MEET RACHEL

Rachel, a Yampa Valley Native, found herself drawn back to her Routt County roots after several transformative years away. Her educational journey took her to Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where she Studied Political Science and International Relations.

 

Post-college, Rachel embarked on an enriching adventure in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she taught English to middle schoolers, embraced the culture with a glass of Malbec in hand, connected with intriguing individuals, and explored diverse landscapes stretching from the beaches of Uruguay to the mountains of Bariloche. Her wanderlust persisted until her heart felt fulfilled, and her pockets felt light.

 

Upon her return to Colorado, Rachel harnessed her interest in real estate, acquiring invaluable expertise in the title insurance sector in Denver. In 2017, she made her way back to Steamboat, where she became a Transaction Coordinator. By spring 2018, Rachel had seamlessly integrated into a high-performing team that consistently closed over 100 transactions annually. Rachel takes immense pride in being a member of The Parilla Group, alongside two other remarkable women who share her commitment to mutual empowerment and bringing their clients an elevated level of service.

 

Beyond the confines of the office, you'll often find her tending to her garden, crafting culinary delights, hiking with her dogs Waylon and Willie, or simply soaking in the breathtaking beauty of the valley alongside her husband.
